New York, Up and Down

I came across this interview of photographer Frank Horvat by Alexandra Bensaid:

My main reference, as you say, is literature. To me, photography is more a literary art than a visual one – in the sense  that it is even more about telling stories than about achieving visual effects.

The interview also mentions Horvat’s photo essay, "New York, Up and Down." There is also an interesting gallery on the Horvatland site called "Portraits of Trees."
